Gallimimus Run Cycle finished by Chewilicious Gallimimus Run Cycle finished by Chewilicious
Completed - 02/09/05

...I finally got this project done! Agh! I was trying to give it a beachfront background but the cycle was off so I scrapped it and went with a simpler desert background instead.

Yes, I know I did a lousy job on the red stripes. I know the footprints are lame. I know the shadow is off and should be darker. I know there should be hills and dunes in the desert. Besides the bouncing Rarebit, this is the only real animation I've completed... so, maybe I'll improve next time. Whatever.

I'm going to use this gallimimus again... for something... so it might not be the last you see of him.

I idolise this animation n.n

I've been studying the way dinosaurs run, their joints, etc. I want to be able to do stuff like this.

You might not want to study mine since the length of the legs changes while it runs... a mistake I didn't detect until after I finished it. :3

Well done! Great job on everything although thing I wanted to point out is maybe make the neck throb forward when doing it's gait.

Great, otherwise.

sweet! The legs are the most fun to watch. The legs and feet.

My only real complaint is the tail. It'd prolly wave as it ran (lookit me, making life more difficult for ya ;))

The rest should be pretty static, so that looks good, and the legs...*just startes and watches the running.*

:stares: Neat! I love the run cycle :D It's not perfect but it's very good for what it is, practice :) I think that's just about all art ever is, practice for something greater to come.

hmm you know not all desserts are filled with hills and dunes.. I've been in a few flat lands.. Usualy those tend to have cracks on the serface since they fill with water during the rainy seasons.. but there are flat areas.. Like the salt plains! (though those are white)

Holy crap. I'll admit it looks a little shakey, especially around the neck, but over all, it's very well done.

I'll also admit I didn't realize those were supposed to be footprints.

Was this all done on the computer? If so, damn. That does take skill--I know from experience XD;;

I'll also mention that despite the noted shakiness, it has character. The neck's the only thing that troubles me a bit. It loops very well--I had to really watch it to see where the cycle ends. And I might not even be right about that.

As always, your detail on the muscle tone and such is awesome. I cannot draw realism like that.

Wow, I'm in a con-crit mood today. XD
